Echo Show · your recipes
Your recipes, step by step, right beside your Echo Show.
Cuisinier En Chef is not an Echo Show app: it is an app for iPhone and iPad that sits beside one. It follows the recipes the Echo Show does not know: from any website, a video, or your own notebook.

Can I put my own recipes on an Echo Show?
Not directly, from what Amazon publishes as of 15 October 2026. Alexa's cooking guide follows recipes from Amazon's partners, such as Allrecipes and Food Network Kitchen in the US and BBC Good Food in the UK.
Amazon's documentation does not explain how to add a recipe from another website, a video or your own notebook, and it is a question that comes up again and again on Amazon's forums.
What about Alexa+?
Amazon announces personalized recipes for the Echo Show 8 and 11 with Alexa+, without saying how to bring your own. This page will be updated when it does.
What the Echo Show does very well
A timer by voice without touching anything, music while you cook, the shopping list, and a catalogue of partner recipes ready to follow. If you have one, keep it.
What Cuisinier En Chef adds, on iPhone or iPad
Any recipe: a web page, a YouTube video with its chapters, a scanned book, a PDF, or your own. One step per screen in large type, amounts worked out for your table, several timers started by the steps themselves, and no advertising.
Most recipes are read by your device itself, with nothing sent to us.
Both, side by side
The Echo Show for music and the shopping list, the iPad beside it for the recipe. You move on by voice, from your AirPods, or with a knuckle on the edge of the screen, and the screen stays on until you are done.

Questions
Does Cuisinier En Chef run on an Echo Show?
No. It is an app for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. It sits beside the Echo Show; it does not replace it.
Is there a subscription?
No. The app is free, with no account, and a recipe your device reads costs nothing, and never will.
What about a Google Nest Hub?
Same answer: the app does not run on it, and sits beside it.
